Listing copy, ads and website articles may soon be written by artificial intelligence (AI), but it’s already baked into current tools, like CRMs and photo recognition.
CAPE COD, Mass. – Cape Cod, Massachusetts-based real estate agents use artificial intelligence (AI) for tasks like creating ad copy for properties, freeing them up to focus on more important jobs.
Colleen Riley of Sotheby’s International Realty, Osterville Brokerage says she uses a phone app to key in information with a basic description of the property. The app then asks questions that gradually become more specific as it gains “knowledge.” It then writes ad copy, which saves her time.
“Most [agents] are using AI where it’s baked into other tools already that they may not even be aware of,” like customer relationship management systems (CRMs) and photo recognition, according to Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors CEO Ryan Castle.
The National Association of Realtors’ Dave Conroy says agents increasingly use generative AI tools like ChatGPT, and they work with vendors that use robots to imitate handwriting and compose personalized letters.
Conroy says others are using AI to enhance important emails or text messages, as well as produce scripts to use at phone screenings.
Castle advises agents to think intentionally about how AI can help them improve. “Find your pain points and figure out how that can be automated through AI to save your time to focus on the tasks that really matter to your clients,” he says.
