Fort Lauderdale Winterfest Boat Parade Plans To Blow You Out Of The Water This Saturday

The Seminole Hard Rock’s 42nd Annual Winterfest Boat Parade is one event you don’t want to miss.

Named one of the “Top 20 Parades in the World” by Usa Today, the parade will be one to watch. With over 100 festive illuminated boats and yachts, it is truly a sight to see. This year’s theme “Passport to Paradise” will take you around the world to some amazing places. As over one million spectators watch the large showboats as well as corporate mega yachts, there will be thousands of lights and decorations passing by almost every minute. The 12 mile parade route begins on the New River in Fort Lauderdale and travels north along the intercoastal waterway to Lake Santa Barbara located in Pompano Beach. This year’s Grand Marshall will be reality star and “90210” actress Tori Spelling. She will be waving to fans on the Marshal Showboat brought to you by JM Lexus as well as hosting the jaw dropping light displays during the end of the show. Ryan Hunter-Reay will be riding on the bow of Nova Southeastern’s yacht. The event is great for kids to sit by the water and watch what has truly made history. Make sure you don’t miss the surprise performance by country duo American Young and Caroline Sunshine. The event is free to the public but if you are interested in working up an appetite, tickets to purchase a delicious meal with a cold beer/beverage range from $20-$25. Make sure to check out all of the discounted tickets at your local BB&T Bank or Publix Supermarket. The event starts at 6:30 this Saturday, December 14th.
